I hear You Calling Me
03:51
|
|||
And now I’ve come back here to stay
You’re with me every day
I think of you and know that you’re a good reason
For me to leave this place
Although it might seem, I’d want to stay
For a month of course I do
But then I hear you callin’ me
There’s so much I want to say
And say right to your face
One inch from you is all that I can take
When I’m away from you, let’s face it all that I do is pine
Count the miles from me to you
And then I hear you call,
You’re callin’ me
And so I’ve come back home to stay
be with you every day
To sing to you and know that you’re the best reason
for me to leave that place
although’ it might seem, I’d want to stay
for a month, of course I did
But then I heard you call
calling me
Calling me
Calling me.

Island In A Sea Of Love
03:56
|
|||
I’m seeing white sands
Calm seas
The moon up above
A little bird he sings of love
I’m hearing palm trees
sighing in the breeze that’s in her hair
I’m with my baby
on an island in a sea of love.
I see the sunrise
Creeping ]cross the bay
A new day dawns above
all I can do is think of love
Laid out on white sheets
she’s lying in my arms, don’t have a care
I’m with my baby
on an island in a sea of love.
Moonshine
shimmers on the bay
We raise our glasses high
And feel out spirits fly
Then we’re dancing
Porter’s Night and Day
fills the air
I’m with my baby
on an island in a sea of love
Clouds role by
We shelter from the rain
The sun is breaking thru
You eyes are sparkling too
Days are endless
Time is standing still
while I’m with you
You’re my baby
On and island in a sea of love

Starry Eyed Over You
02:19
|
|||
Just as the sun sets on the horizon
I’ve got my heart set on you
Like the stars that shine in the evening
I’m starry eyed over you
I’m like a sailboat
You’re like a storm
Whichever way you blow from
You’ll blow me along
Just as the river runs down to the sea
I hope you’ll run back to me
Like a snowflake that falls in the springtime
I melt when I look at you
Like when the wind blows ‘cross the desert
I’m in a sweat over you
I’m like a rowboat
out in high seas
You’re like a big wave
Washing over me
Like a raindrop that falls in the ocean
I’m lost forever in you.

You Don't Fool Me
03:37
|
|||
Sneaking in at midnight
Creeping down the hall
Answering the phone as you’re closing the door
But you don’t fool me
I know all about it
Baby, well you don’t fool me
I’ve seen that look before
Written on your face
It won’t be long before you’re walking out of this place
But you don’t ...
We always used to boogie
To the music in the hall
Now all I get from you is half of sweet fuck all
But you don’t ...
As you’re lying thru’ your teeth
Saying, ‘Baby, nothing’s changed.’
Maybe in the end, nothing’s lost nothing’s gained
But you don’t ...

Gracefully
03:46

These days when I look into the mirror
There’s an old man looking back at me
Sometimes I get a fright
when I see my in the night
reflected in a window
in a ghostly pale moonlight
And now I know that hair is overrated
but I wonder why my eyebrows grow so long
Would the hair in my nose
grow right down to my toes
if I didn’t trim it when it gets too long
But I don’t care
What’s the point?
It doesn’t matter
There’s nothing I can do about it anyway
So I might and well just drift along
write the lyrics to this song
about how I’ll try to grow old gracefully
And when I think about the path that I have taken
It’s a marvel that I’m standing here at all
All those walks and roads and planes
hitch-hiking in the rain
in a rush to catch some midnight train
What could possibly go wrong
that was my thinking
There’s nothing to concern me here at all
Okay, I’m far away
looking forward to the day
‘cause the sun is shining brightly
and all my cares are far away
So I guess that’s pretty much how it happened
How life has led me to this day
No regrets – that’s for sure
What’s the point? None at all
So I try and grown older gracefully
I will try and grow older gracefully.
